Do more women than men suffer from Bipolar Disorder? At what age is it diagnosed? Can it be faked?
Recently, I was asked these questions and more by writer Suelain Moy for an article entitled “Bipolar Disorder: A Q&A with Dr. Candida Fink” published by MedShadow Foundation. To read the answers, please check out the article, and then return here to let me know what you think.
This is Part 1 of a two-part piece. Part 2 will be more about the treatment side of bipolar disorder. Stay tuned.
My husband took himself off his bipolar meds last may. His anger part has gotten very bad since then. Really high high’s and really low lows. He doesn’t sleep much rarely eats works 2 jobs that he his barely holding on to. He’s talked to me about suicide and day dreams on how to kill the ones that have angered him. He does not act like the same person. He’s mean no fear a ticking time bomb pretty much. And he is obsessed with sex and porn. He cheats leaves me for awhile and then comes back a wreck. He was also on a sleeping medication ca use he was acting out in his sleep violently. I would wake up with him holding me down forcing me to have sex with him, putting his feet on me and pushing me out of bed, hitting me and lots of other stuff. It’s almost like he has multiple personalities. I say that because at night he would wake me up smiling playing with my hair being so sweet, next night mean as a snake then wake me up the next night just staring at me and he doesn’t remember any of it. It’s got so bad that he fractured my ribs back in January…no remorse at all. He has no business making any kind of decisions….he can’t even make up his mind gets lost going home can’t remember anything. He was going to indian rivers but hated that place said they asked questions but never listened to what he was saying. I don’t know what to do anymore what kind of advice can you give me?
