Welcome to the Bipolar Blog. Ever since we wrapped up our work on Bipolar Disorder For Dummies, we have been discussing the idea of hosting a blog… both to promote the book and to provide late-breaking information and support to our readers.
We hope, with the assistance of the bipolar community (those who have been diagnosed with bipolar disorder and their loved ones), to provide a valuable resource center on the Internet. We envision this blog as something that will ultimately take on a life of its own, creating an ever-evolving collage that reveals the true nature of bipolar disorder and how it affects both those who have it and their loved ones.
We make no judgments regarding how you and your loved ones deal with bipolar disorder in your lives. A variety of treatment options are available, and some work better for some people than others. In our posts, we will attempt to provide what we think are the most effective treatments–conventional and alternative or complementary.
We invite you to contribute to the blog and make it even more valuable with your personal stories and insights. We only ask that when you post, you respect the sensitivities of other visitors and be very careful about offering any medical advice… unless, of course, you are a qualified physician or therapist.
